Elden Ring is even worse now because they've made some bosses so insane that the only way to beat them is with one of the latest cheese builds.
So instead of building generalized skills or specific boss patterns, you just make the latest faceroll build before it gets nerfed and steamroll everything.
As amazing as Elden Ring was, I think the Souls brand has peaked, and it will be a rapidly declining fanbase going forward as the games get progressively less playable and fun.
