TFM you haven't been to the doctor in ten years because men have less diseases when younger while women have more. As we grow older, men start to catch up to women in diseases. I am the same age as you and in ten years the only time i went to a doctor is for a flu shot. But we are advancing in age and as HD recommends, we have to start blood work.
