As art and artistic creation in the form of film and games is becoming increasingly ideological a great loss accompanies this trend. Art of course serves no objective purpose but rather serves the subjective feelings of the individual and interacts with receptivity of the viewer, listener or player. The ideological takeover of virtually every formerly artistic endeavour prevents the ability to connect to art because, simply put, it is no longer art.

I never got into anime but the local TV station did broadcast the Macross series. Plus as a teen I saw Akira and a couple other's. I was always more into reading or doing outdoor activities. And I'm well past my best before date.

Macross you legend it was before my time however I'm getting into it and it's awesum AKIRA got me and is amazing, Anime is great on a rainy day or lazy day however reading exercise and outdoor is what is more important

@DIO DOOM NUTZ_TALICHADJESUS33: Oddly enough that station didn't normally air any cartoons or actually anything good. That was the lone exception. I didn't even know about anime at that time. I just thought the storyline was really good.

@Councilof1: We must be Twin kindred spirits thats how I got into Akira Ghost in the Shell Anime I didn't even go looking for it it has on TV at the Time and I was like what's this it's Cool and Everything else Sports Music was getting Boring so I was like Cool Something new and Cool and Awesum to enjoy and down the Rabbit hole into Anime I went. \G/
