In the 18th century, folks had a very different opinion of lunch than we do today. In fact, they didn’t even call it lunch! It was the main meal of the day, meant to sustain hard labor. Here is everything we’ve learned while researching The Working Man’s Lunch.

I guess the lunch was a dinner at one pm... so, light supper was a short snack begore going to sleep? Makes sense: You need something bread or bread like to soak up all that beer... Hey, the bar wrenches don't like it when you puke used beer on them! LOL!
Hmm, pot roast, beef stew, chicken and dumplings, etc those sound good. Man, we should start demanding wives or girlfriends not only have to make this but deliver it to our place of work too unless we work at home... I would love to see their faces when you tell them...
Now, that would be a interesting video...what's the origin of the "sandwich?" That way when we tell the wrench to make us a sandwich, we can give her a history lesson and tap into that old fashion sisterhood...
Was the bar wrench on the menu for desert or was that dinner only... maybe Friday or Saturday night's dinner: Hey, don't judge... you have to have something to ask forgiveness for when you crawled into church Sunday. I mean it's the least you could do since they gave it off to you to go to church... maybe half drinking flirt with the nuns on the way in... Hey, you just doing the Lord's work testing the faithfulness of His uhm "Ole girls." And maybe, just maybe having miracle babies too... We got an empty orphanage here! TIME to fill it up... LOL!
I can't imagine living in the time period he's interested in. Back then my area was aboriginals (First Nation's or Indian's depending on who you ask) and french fur trader's. Absolutely brutal life. Freedom isn't free. And pre-industrial farming was also insanely hard going.
