Thessaloniki streets submerged after heavy rain

Main roads in Greece’s second-largest city were turned into rivers as torrential rain swept the area. Pedestrians and vehicles were stranded in the streets and major thoroughfares, which filled with water in mere minutes. Sewers also overflowed as a result of flash flooding, turning the entire city into a lake.
