Thousands of nurses go on strike in New York demanding better working conditions

Thousands of nurses at two prominent New York hospitals held rallies calling for pay rises and better conditions. According to the NY State Nurses Association, workers at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx and Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan also denounced chronic staff shortages.
