Trans Filipino prostitutes and Thai ladyboys clash in huge turf war

This may look and sound like a Taylor Swift gig, but it’s actually a deadly serious turf war, so stop laughing. A huge brawl broke out in Bangkok’s red light district after local ladyboys accused a group of trans Filipino prostitutes of attacking them and stealing their customers.

Police were called to the scene as hundreds of sex workers clashed with each other, but the responding officers were merely dragged into the melee, with some of the prostitutes turning their anger on the police instead. According to reports, the fight continued at the local police station after arrests were made, including the Filipino prostitutes who were reportedly working without the necessary visas and permits.

The local police superintendent made a statement claiming that officers ‘handled the situation well and kept the crowd under control.’ He managed to say this with a straight face, too.
