On a more linear front - I would have never guessed this or figured it out, just by pulling a mussle out of a river bed, or a pickled mussel out of a jar...... Never in a million years.... I just thought, as least on the rocks in the ocean, that they all jizzes and egged at the same time, like coral does, then the little swimmers met up and perhaps washed up on another rock somewhere else - after a few days or years...
