UN office calls for probe into migrants' killings
Thousands storming the border of a Spanish enclave in northern Morocco led to the killing of at least 23 African migrants by Moroccan security forces, with hundreds more injured.
The UN claims Moroccan authorities used batons and stones to repel the migrants as they tried to scale a fence leading to the EU territory, and some rights activists say police then deliberately refrained from helping the injured.
The UN Human Rights office is now calling for an independent investigation into the incident.
