US has sabotaged creation of balanced and depoliticized resolution – Russia

A resolution calling for 'humanitarian pauses’ in Gaza was adopted at the UN Security Council. However, a Russian amendment to that resolution, which would push for a fully-fledged ceasefire, was vetoed by Washington alone. Moscow's ambassador to the UN says this follows a pattern of US sabotaging de-escalation efforts.
