US tries to downplay Russian advance in Artyomovsk as Kiev failing to defend

Russian troops have almost completely surrounded the key city of Artyomovsk, while the entrenched Ukrainian garrison has reportedly been partially cut off, and is having trouble pulling its troops out of the combat zone.
