Mali’s JNIM militant group has released video footage, later shared by AP, of what it claims is an attack on the Malian presidential plane, and on the airport in the capital Bamako, along with a military training camp and other locations in the city on Tuesday.
JNIM, who have links to Al-Qaeda, said that the attacks had inflicted ‘major human and material losses.’ Malian officials confirmed there had been attacks in ‘multiple locations,’ causing ‘loss of life and material damage,’ but did not give further details apart from to report that the attackers had been ‘neutralized.’

What stupid pricks... I have no idea what the politics are and how much of a terd the president really is, and what the groups ambitions ARE.... but seriously setting fire to the screen to keep things out of the engine, and shooting up light fittings, is just plain fucking stupid.

If they had of really wanted to do the plane... find out where exactly all the fuel tanks are....

Or climb into it, and take 2 x 10 liter drums of fuel - petrol is faster but kerosene is sort of safer... open the front and back doors for oxygen... and douse all the seats from one end to the other... then throw a match at it.

But Mali is a small country, another plane is a huge expense, and why ruin a perfectly good plane?

Morons.
