the moon has no magnetism... interesting idea though...
because the moon has no magnetism at all it would be kind of hard for it to effect water magnetically, also the earths magnetic field would interfere with that and make it impossible for something outside of the earths magnetic sphere to (that is not many magnitudes more powerful than the earths) effect anything that is within it...

that is why the earth is effect by sun flares that are 2-4 times bigger than the earth itself, they can cause EMP waves created by the flares to hit the earths surface...
but that EMP or other magnetic pulses have to be many orders of magnitude stronger than the earths magnetic fields or it cannot reach the earths surface...

ultimately i think there is something else going on between the moon and the earth, altho i have never (that i remember) heard that all high tide and low tide coincide with the phases of the moon...

Your right..... mostly. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/....Magnetic_field_of_th

High and Low Tide are just increased and decreased gravitational pull.... Sort of like the warp field from interstellar space ships passing within the Jupiter limits, when using Tachyon drives.

People THINK that just because magnets don't stick to water like they do to iron etc., that there is no magnetic reponse.

EVERYTHING responds to magnetic fields, but a lot of it, like AIR and WATER just don't respond much.

Just think, if you had 100,000 tons of neodynium magnets you could get a 20,000 ton ship to race through the ocean at walking speed....

yes, almost everything reacts in some way or another to magnetic fields.... but there are inert substances that are not effected by magnetism at all... there are only a few things on the earth itself that are unaffected . now it is possible to create tension between or reactions between objects or things that are not magnetic and those require certain chemicals and gasses to be present, an effect similar to magnetism (and yes actual magnetism can be created using others as well)... it is possible that it could be a bunch of different things that affects the tides magnetism could be part of it but it would have be bipass the earths magnetic fields.... i am guessing it is probably a combination of things in the atmosphere and global weather and who knows exactly what relationship/interactions happen between the moon and the earth aside from orbit but the orbit itself does also effect the tides and things too so....
