I've heard of the 50s? show "Skippy" about a boy & his roo. Is that right? Are you aware of its Florida USA counterpart called "Flipper" about a boy & his dolphin?

can Kangaroos be pets like a dog? My guess is it's prolly similar to having a chimpanzee. Expensive and possibly deadly.

Yeah a lot of people find the mother kangaroo dead on the side of the road - with a joey in it's pouch (baby) and they raise them... Pretty much like all the other animals that people raise... Not particularly dangerous quite friendly... only eat grass... good with the kids.... They become like family. I don't know of many who adopt and raise them - especially the Big Red Desert Kangaroos who can stand 6 to 8 feet tall.. Usually they encourage them to go wild and leave once they are old enought to mate and get a life with the wild roos....

@TripeSwing: Yeah they are like most other adopted animals - become one of the family etc... Look them up on youtube baby kangaroo adoption / rescue
