Weathergirl collapses live on air

A weather forecast on CBS Los Angeles took a turn for the worse when the meteorologist fainted live on air. Alissa Carlson was about to begin her segment, when viewers saw her become unresponsive before collapsing, hitting her desk on the way down. The channel quickly cut to a break as colleagues rushed to help Carlson, who the station says is now ‘resting and recovering.’

This is not the first time Carlson has been taken ill on camera; in 2014 she was diagnosed with a leaky heart valve after a similar episode saw her vomit on screen, but this has not stopped her presenting, no matter how under the weather she might be feeling.
