In the Vietnam War, women were used as Intelligence Gatherers, sleeping with enemy, picking up intel on military movements.
Boys were shamed if they didn't pick up a gun to fight so the communists or the nationalists.
Asia learned to leverage female hypergamy where as Europe did not.

She was empathizing with the whores because she knew she'd be one of them.
She didn't care about the boy because women have no empathy for non-infant males.
