I imagine in a poor country like Ukraine, in a desperate time like now, it would be very easy to bribe people for information to find someone like him, a foreigner who doesn't speak the language. $50? How many Ukrainians walk around in baseball caps 24/7, with rayban frames? I also wonder if he might have wanted to be a hero, or martyr of some sort. I respect the work he did reporting on the situation there, but I can't imagine gambling with my life to make youtube videos.
