What’s more, why isn’t the Auditor General doing a stocktake of our gold on a yearly basis. There’s only been two audits of our almost $6 billion worth of gold in over 20 years.

It’s pathetic that the RBA couldn’t even tell me when they sent our gold reserves offshore.
The poor quality assurance around our gold is just another example of why independent statutory authorities need to be held to account by the people through the parliament and not themselves.
