TigPlaze is right that defeating the stupid brain or subconscious one is a requirement for going your own way. From my experience that happens when you go through the second red pill rage when your stupid brain truly believes that your individual survival and happiness is more important than reproduction. But in this day and age you physical survival is a theoretical thing. You're not going to waste away from not getting enough calories.
