don't use "social Media" so that is no concern when Microsoft Bricked my "gifted" laptop when the "trial" license expired. i dumbed it and went with Open office which covers the entire suite of features from what you would expect under mike roe soft. go with Linux, there is an install for every type of device out there from full features to slackware and mini installs it can have a learning curve but if you really get into it you might be like a buddy of mine who *Recompiles the kernal of his OS* for Fun that means he rewrites the core process files for the operating system FOR FUN!
