I measured the distance from Egypt - the sort of middle of the delta and big city, to Syria - around where the state of Israel is today - it's about 140 Km or at 4Kmh x 8 hours a day, = about 4 days walk along established roads...... So it's not the stuff of legends, it's that Moses the idiot tour guide was a moron who could not find his own arsehole without a map....
