I believe sometimes you need to have Experience to know what you are talking about instead of just making mere Speculations like I strongly believe you are here. And this in one of those situations , from my Experience you are making a Speculation without Experience.

I'm a decade Older than you & lived in tough Neighborhoods in Toronto .i.e Jamestown, Jane & Finch, ...etc; ( if you Reside in Toronto Canada as I, then you'll likely know of the Bad Reputation of these Districts I speak of -- So you could say I've seen & Experienced a lot of Criminal Elements in my life) And I also have Experienced with been charged in the past with False Allegations of Assault by Women with different Agendas , went through Criminal Courts with Legal Representation to Dispute them, Won and was Acquitted after months of Court back & Forth Procedures.

So I kind of know what I'm talking about here. Of course, I've since became Disenchanted With the whole Dating & Relationship scene and the growing Bias Legal system, especially for Men and it can be quite a Pain and is a Mess to say the least ; so I've left it all behind a few years ago. Hence I adopted the MGTOW life.

Nonetheless, If a Man was beaten by his wife, live-in Girlfriend,..etc, and he has Evidence of this .i.e. Marks, Bruises, Blood ...or whatever ; And then the Cops come there to find him in like that with him claiming his Wife did that to him , however his wife is Also unharmed, he then also goes to a Doctor or Hospital to get treated for this. ( There will be Report / Records of this by the Medical People that treat him) .... The Cops will also have to ( or should) then file a Report of the incident if they come to A domestic Incident , at least I know in Toronto they will. And I'm sure in many other places that is likely also Applicable.

And so given all that, Sandman, you actually Believe that if Cops Don't charge the Woman under those Conditions that they are Legally safe from Legal ramifications ???!!! My friend, Are you Monumentally delusional ??!! Those Cops under those Circumstances would be taking an Awful Gamble with their Jobs to say the least.

If that guy goes to Court and acquires Legal Representation ( and he definitely should in such a Incident Since he has a lot on the line to lose .i.e. his Home, Assets, possessions, ...etc.) , Any decent Lawyer will tear those Cops apart on the Stand in Court. A lawyer would Definitely have those Cops, on the Stand and Cross Examine them on why they failed to do their Job and Charge that Woman for Criminal Offenses of Assault and whatever else Applicable. The Cops claiming they feared false Allegations against them by the Woman would not fly in a Criminal Court of law.

Now that kind of Case could perhaps come down to a " He say, She say" scenario. However, I somehow Doubt it. If that guy's Medical Records are Admitted of his treatment and of course the Cop's Report will be acquired by the guy's Lawyer, then that Woman likely will Lose the Case ( since she has only False Allegations at best with No evidence) AND Moreover the Cops could potentially lose their Jobs for willfully failing to do their Jobs and/or including face Charges filed by the Guy's lawyer afterward.

And Remember that will not be Family or Divorce Court. That will be Criminal court and the Rules are far different. Evidence trumps false Allegations !!!

The only way this could perhaps go a Different way is if the Woman could afford a better high Priced Lawyer that maybe could Also Sway the Court due to their legal Connections, Bribes, or something along those lines. However, most of these cases involve average Everyday people and Not popular Rich Celebrities with high priced Lawyers.

And this is the only way I'd entertain Speculation in such as Domestic assault Circumstance.
Otherwise, Fantasize or Speculate all you want. However, I can assure you from Experience that in the Real World it may likely play out differently. The Woman I can attest does NOT always Win. It depends on the Variables in the Real World.
