It's because there's 2 things women desire most. Worship and Power.. The only thing women probably love more than being worshiped literally as a god of deity is the Power to control. Which is why she love Criminals. Which are usually a fatherless, stupid, sexually weak guy (Gangster and thugs) that she can control and weaponize to destroy any guy that refuse to acknowledge her Highness. He's basically her with the power of a man. Women see The bad boy Thug the way men see guns. As something or someone she have under her control; to protect her, or use to force her will upon others.
