When looking at the war in Ukraine and its worldwide implications, it’s hard to say when it all began… Did it start in February 2022, when Russia launched its military operation, or seven years prior when it failed to put an end to the bloodshed in eastern Ukraine? Can it be traced to the collapse of the USSR or even further – to the beginning of the 16th century with the rise of Western power? And, even more important than the question of the origins, is peaceful and fair coexistence even possible between the West and the rest? To discuss this, Oksana is joined by Sergey Karaganov.
