Hey Amr, I am planning on taking some bait on my long trips, so I can go fishing, rather than doing the EITHER I have bait on board and then I can go fishing, or I don't have any bait and I cannot go fishing - and I mean the long lasting bait, that keeps without refrigeration. So I can pack a small amount of fresh bait that goes off in the heat, with me, on the day trips AND I can keep them in a small container with a little ice. AND I am going to buy a couple of good reels (cheap ones) for the two small rods I have, and some floats for the hand lines - so I can fish from the surface of rivers using a little meat, while the baited hook hangs 2 or 3 feet down. The rivers here are FULL of snags....

AND the other thing is that SINCE the plastic corks have been in, the use of the tree bark corks has been fading away.
I had a quick look for wine bottle corks, and for the most part they kind of do not exist any more.
It's easy enough to use a wine bottle cork as a float... if only you could get them.
