I've seen a young mexican girl who was husky.. started at the grocery store I go to almost daily.. she had a calmness about her.. I thought she was cool.. well over the last 3 years she has lost weight until there is no sign of her ever having any extra weight on her.. she does her hair and makeup.. sometimes the make up is a little much. .LOL.. I mean like almost to comedy effect.. she wants to look good.. she isnt husky now.. i'll tell ya what.. I grew up at a time and place where many of us indulged in cigarettes and marijuana at a young age.. then right onto the alcohol too.. by the time I graduated I had some bad memories.. from overdoing it.. all of us did.. and the sheriffs,, putting satellite stations in all the neighborhoods in the county.. mostly harassed us but also got us on chargable offenses.. by the time I was 19 I looked at my group of buddies. .and was not impressed.. from where I came from.. So I found a job that would last.. in town 5 miles from the neighborhood.. found an apartment also.. did not have much money to spare after bills.. but I worked and lived.. was serious about improving my life.. and I did.. any time from like 26 - 60 yoa I can look at my old buddies and know that what I did to change my life worked.. for the better.. I mean I own a house and my son has a bs in engineering.. I quit everything when I moved to town at 19.. I would go to the bowling alley occasionally for some beers. . sometimes run into acquaintances that were very intoxicated.. and kept myself away from that situation. .I would go home to my place.. and then back to work on Monday.. Quitting cigarettes was the hardest thing I had ever done.. but it took me from an indulgent person to a person of power and control.. changed me.. I had started smoking at 10 yoa.. it took 3 years to be totally clear of that shit.. they say the effects of nicotine is out of your body in a short time after quitting. .well, I should put out a course on stopping.. it is in fact the lack of nicotine that is the problem.. It takes a long time to unprogram that shit out of your biology.. man, once I had beaten it I could do almost anything.. self control.. accomplishing goals.. now , at 60 , I like food.. and I know that young mexican girl has much self control to thin down the way she did.. I think she will accomplish some things in her life.. and stick with it.. My old buddies still smoke pot.. live in the woods and shit.. They had help from their parents until they died.. I never had any help.. and am able to hold on.. but I hope things get better financially for the workin guy.. and that is no joke.. I been doing this thing where I mix the moosetracks ice cream with the mint choco chip .. hehehh.. ya. I had some YEARS with less work.. and decided to learn to barbecue.. and home made sourdough bread.. gained some weight.. back to working steady and making stirfry my breakfast and lunch.. I should peak around 65.. ;)
