You Don't OWE ANYONE SH!T

One of the worst prisons we can put ourselves or someone else is that of obligation.⁠⠀

It's easy to believe that you owe someone something because they did something for you in the past.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
It's just as easy to believe that someone owes something to you.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
But both of these mindsets will result in disappointment, guilt, bitterness and feeling of betrayal.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
You don't owe anyone anything.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
No one owes you anything.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Your life is YOURS to live how you see fit and by the same token you should allow other people the same freedom to live their lives.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
It's only when we create obligation that we lose the freedom in our lives to love out of choice rather than compulsion.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Actions performed in compulsion are worthless.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
It means nothing if you do good to another human being because you feel obligated to do it.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
The greatest gift we have as humans is the gift of choice.
