You lucky !! Much safer than Europe as well. Roads can be dangerous indeed and their sewer system should be changed.. My Thai GF told me that its because there's way too much people visiting Pattaya.. Their Sewer system wasn't made for such an amount of people.. What kind of work do you do remotely ?

@Doggk: oh that's interesting no one told me that. Now it makes sense. I am a java developer. I could keep doing this and retire in 5 years. Very good situation for me but the only downside is I sleep much of the day away.

@perfection9669: Coding and developing are very lucrative jobs ! But it eats you after a while.. Lots of thinking etc.. You gotta be made for that.. Im Graphic / Motion designer, I teach english and other languages as well.. But was thinking about starting a business in Pattaya..

@Doggk: @Doggk yes I would love to get out of programming. It's definitely a nightmare now especially with boomer bosses and Indians running this profession into the ground. Now we gotta worry about the Trump/Musk h1b1 cap lift soon. Starting a business in Pattaya would be better and you could have a normal sleep schedule. Just need a good idea and enough capital to pull it off.

@Doggk that is cool about the languages. I have been learning Russian for 4 years but still suck at it. I imagine Thai would be the same or more difficult being tonal. At least you can survive in Thailand on English unlike Russia.

@perfection9669: Ah ti gavarit pa ruski ?? Patamuchto ya gavariou tchu chut ruski toshé ^^ I learned russian for years, had an ex who was russian and many friends who speak russian and dialects for the eastern part of europe.. But give it the time to learn it correctly.. I can have conversations with russians and met lots of russians in Pattaya.. Saved one in a bar from getting into big troubles.. They were surprised that I had practically no accent.. Best way to learn is to practice with people who speak it and listen carefully / look up words by words.. Learning a language is like doing a 20 000 pieces puzzle... Patience is key ! I speak 5 languages and teach 3 of them.. French, Dutch, English, little spanish, Russian and understand easily german.. Now i'm learning Thai but believe me Russian has more ties with english / french than Thai.. Many french words in English as Russian.. Many similarities in our alphabet.. But Thai is a whole other thing.. Got a great Idea for a business in Thailand.. But gotta put the money together... Programming is soon over.. Because programs are getting created to do the job.. Same thing for Graphic and even motion designers.. People will only be used as supervisors, technicians etc. in the future.. I know bro I've been through so many schedules especially during the high seasons.. So I feel you on that.. I've got plenty of new missions while being in Thailand.. But I agree.. our jobs will be taken by AI..

Hell yeah bro ! But you gotta keep your head on your shoulders and be prepared as much as possible.. I just had the best time of my life there man.. It's a place where men can find anything they're looking for.. I'll be back in September for another good month.. Because my first month wasn't enough to see places I wanted to see.. There's just so much stuff to do there.. You can't be bored in Thailand.. It was Awesome !! So much Fun.. Made so much friends and connexions.. Khab Khun Khrab Thailand ^^
