The EU's Court of Justice has annulled a $1.1 billion penalty against Intel, related to allegations that the tech giant used rebates to exclude competitors from the market. This case was first brought to the European Commission in 2009. However, Intel still faces a separate fine of $400 million for abusing its dominant position.
Meanwhile, Intel's alleged business practices have drawn international scrutiny: the Chinese cybersecurity association has called for a review of the company's products due to national security concerns, citing frequent vulnerabilities and unreliable service. They also allege that Intel uses remote monitoring to collect personal information.
