Extinction Rebellion rallies against fossil fuels outside Citibank in NYC

Climate activists, led by Extinction Rebellion, gathered in front of Citibank in New York City to call for new reforms regarding fossil fuels. The demonstrators marched and chanted slogans such as ‘Climate justice’ and ‘Shut it down,’ carrying placards that read ‘Banks: Stop funding fossil fuels,’ ‘There is no planet B,’ ‘End fossil finance,’ and ‘Hey Citi stop killing us with coal, oil, gas.’

The XR rally was held ahead of the annual general meetings of the biggest US banks including Bank of America in Charlotte, Citigroup in New York, North Carolina, as well as Wells Fargo in San Francisco.
