⁣This is an old video showing the fundamentals of Eskrima. Eskrima should have a "flow" to it. There are parts of this video where the technique has been slowed down to illustrate a concept or aspect of the technique.

The video quality is bad and was starting to degrade on my computer's hard drive but I thought the information might be useful.

I HIGHLY recommend purchasing firearms and learning to use and maintain them! Any serious student of history will do the same. The use of rattan sticks in the Philippines came about as a direct result of the Conquistadors banning the locals from owning or carrying swords. In addition, the Spaniards enforced the wearing of see-thru shirts for men and women (women could wear a bra like undergarment) to enforce the "no weapons" policy. I learned this art and a lot of its history from the many Filipino immigrants in California's Central Valley. In addition to firearms, I also highly recommend training the use of sticks and knives for self-defense purposes.

@Manny Gomes: Yes I agree .. I have many firearms and ammo . I also believe in all forms of hand 2 hand and last Resort strikes .
