Mayon volcano sends Philippines into ALERT mode

Philippine officials issued Level 3 Alert and advised anyone living within a 6-kilometer radius of Mayon crater to move to safer areas after superheated streams of gas, debris and rocks began cascading down the volcano's slopes, predicting a hazardous eruption within days or weeks.
