I've been to Vietnam. When it comes to these 3rd world countries, just keep your head down, nose clean, and avoid interacting with the natives.

Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand and so on, is NOT what is advertised in the West. Amr, the same applies to the countries south of the United States. Tourist areas, and everywhere else in those countries, are two completely different worlds.

Yeah. Resentment still runs deep. We left a lot more damage than solutions wherever we've gone. More of those chickens are coming back home to roost.
