An interesting point you bring up. In Japan this woman would be considered very overweight or even obese. In the west she might be considered petite.

I like the orderliness of their public transit. The crowd's on the other hand I really wouldn't want to experience . I avoid certain places at certain times just to avoid crowd's. Just watching them squish people into the train's made my skin crawl.

This was a treat on a Saturday. For those who have never been to Japan this is totally accurate. 1. Yes, they are a very orderly an civilized society overall. 2. I actually saw a very similar scene where they were stuffing people into the trains. Very common at rush hour and surreal. 3. Mamasan getting lippy was hilarious. A hook up with too much Suntori gone awry maybe? The other passengers just getting up and moving is totally Japanese. Love it.
