Why Arent Swing Wing Aircraft Made Any More

There is an enormous amount of SMART MEN, making lots of really impressive gear... I remember the ground / terrain following radar system... Really impressive. Flying 200 feet above the ground and going very fast and because the automated controls could steer faster and harder and at the last possible second - the aircraft would flay straight at cliffs and mountains etc., and just pull up really hard at the last moment and still maintain it's 200 feet of altitude......

The pilots tended to shit themselves.
